104 BCD is the most common bolt pattern on double and triple cranksets and happens to be the first product ever made by Wolf Tooth Components. The Drop-Stop tooth design is the best performing and longest lasting wide/narrow chainrings on the market. Fits any 104 BCD crankset. Drop-Stop technology. On Wolf Tooth patented wide/narrow chainring, the wide side of the tooth has maximum contact on the drive side which spreads the load and improves chainring life. The narrow side allows clearance for mud and debris which reduces friction. Alternating wide/narrow tooth pattern prevents chain derailment.

Compatibility:

Fits any 104 BCD crankset. Chainring Bolts: All tooth sizes require 1x bolts that are 6mm long with exception to 30T rings which are threaded and require bolts that are 7-10mm long. 104 x 30T - use 10mm bolts. 104 x 32T, 34T, 36T, 38T use 6mm bolts, unless using a Bash ring.

Chainring bolt requirements for bashring:

104 x 30t - 10mm bolts are required for use with the bashring. Other 104 BCD sizes - you will need 8mm bolts (stock size that comes on 3x cranksets holding the middle and big rings on). Wolf Tooth does not make these. 32t 104 BCD chainrings work on many older 2x Shimano crankset (XT, SLX, or Deore). All sizes of 104 BCD chainrings are compatible with QUARQ power meters. The Wolf Tooth 30T is the only 104 BCD chainring made in the market, and it is compatible with Quarq. Drivetrains: 1x9, 1x10, 1x11 and 1x12 drivetrains If using a 9-speed drivetrain, use a 10-speed chain. It fits tighter for better chain retention.

recommendations:

If you plan to ride in very muddy conditions, Wolf Tooth recommend a chainguide or chainkeeper in addition to a clutch-type rear derailleur. Without these precautions, you may experience chaindrops and/or chainsuck. Related Products 64 BCD chainring if you need something smaller than a 30T 104 BCD Stainless Steel Chainrings

Absolutely superb! It bolts right up to 104bcd Shimano cranks runs super smooth with a 9 sod KMC chain. Made In USA is prominently oriented to not be obstructed by crank arm.;

I like the Wolftooth hardened stainless for my Levo ebike but unobtainium right now. This is good quality. Have discovered I pretty much have to retire the entire drivetrain when the chain goes on my ebike to avoid chain skipping so might as well get the cheaper stuff.

Update - don’t use this on your Levo. Mine got literally pretzeled. I think it’s because one of the mounting bolts came loose. You can get the OEM steel ones cheap from Praxis (direct). These are threaded like the OEM and you can get in three sizes 32/34/36. The wolftooth is probably OK for acoustic bikes.;

I used this ring to create a 1x setup using a square taper bottom bracket. I'm using a torque-sensing BB for an electric build and they only come in square taper so I had to buy a reasonably lightweight crankset with the correct BCD and replace the chainrings with this one. It's a GREAT looking setup. Really like this chainring.;

Converted my FELT XC from a 3x9 to a 1x9. The Wolf Chain Ring 34t is super solid - Simplicity on the trails confidence in durability with each pedal drive . Definitely a quality chain ring . . . . . NO CHAIN DROPS !;
