I was initially considering returning this item because these panniers are lighter weight and seemingly less water resistant than I expected. There’s really not much to theses panniers. But I kept them because I appreciate the simple design and I think as long as I ensure the top flap covers the bottom opening (note: there’s no syncing function to make the main opening smaller) they should keep water out during a light rain though I wouldn’t trust this design or fabric to keep my stuff dry in any substantial rain. Anyway these are some of the only panniers made for the RackTime system so if you have a RackTime rack this might be the best option.;

I’ve been commuting on my E bike now for about a year these bags work perfect. Very lightweight very good design and quality can hold a standard laptop bag on one side and then odds and ends in the other recommended.;
