My Deore shifter on my back begin to shift poorly. I decided to replace it instead of chase the problem. Since this is my backup bike I just wanted something inexpensive but reliable. I use a few other Microshift components and have concluded the company makes good parts. This shifter is no different. It works flawlessly with my Deore rear derailleur. The indexing was pretty spot on out of the box just a few barrel turns and I was up and running. It is not top-of-the-line by any means. It is Alivio level but may shift a little crisper. Definitely value priced. I would highly recommend this for anyone with an aging Shimano 9 speed drivetrain but doesnÔøΩt want to upgrade to 11 or 12 speed. The little shifting window indicator is kinda annoying.
