i have a dahon vybe 7 folding bike with 20" wheels and my Ortlieb panniers didn't work because they are too big and my feet kept hitting them. these are more adjustable and fit on the short rack without hitting my feet. i like the attachment system. the pannier is easy to put on and take off quickly. it looks very well made and will probably last a very long time!;

I did not purchase these on Amazon but direct from the sellers (Green Guru Gear) website. I got an EBike (Aventon Pace 500) for commuting to work and needed something to hold my personal items for a post-ride pre-work shower. These pannier bags fill the need excellently. You can hold a lot of items in there. Everything I can fit in my gym bag which is pretty big I can fit in these two panniers. In addition I can fit my full lunch bag as well. My feet do not hit the bags when I peddle. If I choose to I could also fit my purse/backpack in them but I carry that on my back just for more security when I ride.

I had a Topeak MTX Quick track rear rack installed on my bike to use the MTX basket with and these panniers fit perfectly on them. I can actually use the panniers and the basket at the same time because the hooks on the panniers are flush with the top of the bags and the tops of the bags are level with the top of the rack itself so the basket can slide onto the Quick track easily with the panniers in place. So if you have even more stuff to haul on the bicycle you have all that extra space with the basket as well. Double check the weight limits on the bags and the rack before you do that though.

I knew the print on the panniers would be randomly selected when I placed my order but I did note that they mentioned that they will try and match them if you purchase a pair they did pretty good as both of them were in nice brown tones with pretty cool pictures/patterns on them. The bags are pretty simple to install on the rack just hook them on and I wrap the bottom securing hook around the rack supports and hook it on sideways. The bags do not come out or off even if I go over big bumps in the road. As far as I can see about its "waterproof-ness" the material used on the cover and the front bottom half of the bags look more water "resistant" if its a few sprinkles or a light rain it would hold up but not a continuous downpour especially since the sides of the bag don't appear to be water proof/resistant. The cover is secured to the front of the bag by hook & loop (Velcro) patches they are pretty strong but cannot be locked so if you require extra security get some type of cover to go over or secure it even more with bungee cords/nets. If you are so inclined you could even sew on some straps with securing clips on them.

If I don't use the basket with the bags they are easy to remove and carry. Carry by the short handles or the adjustable and convenient shoulder straps as well. They fold up for easy low profile storage when not in use either on the bike rack or somewhere else. I would not leave these unattended on a bicycle they are so nice that someone may be tempted to steal them (probably those same crumbs that take the bicycle lights if you don't take them with you). If I use the basket also it will have to be removed before removing the bags.

Overall I am happy with my purchase of the Green Guru Dutchy pannier bags I would recommend them for anyone considering getting panniers for your bicycle rack(s). They are great looking on the bicycle and pretty unique from other panniers.;

I have this pannier as well as the Green Guru Free Ryder 22L (ASIN: B00SA2ZU0U) and love them both. They have been durable rain or shine and each has it's purpose. The Dutchy is great for throwing stuff in and is best for possible rainy weather with the flap. The Free Ryder is perfect to just put a bag grocery or otherwise or even a backpack directly into and you are good to go. I was concerned that the bag might pop out on larger bumps but so far all has been great. I have a non-trivial bike commute to work but the panniers have made the ride a pleasure without having a backpack on my back. Now I can just put the backpack in the Free Ryder and off I go! My better half often takes the other pannier while bike commuting too. We might be getting yet another in our future. The upcycling and colors are fantastic and are quite the conversation starter with others. I happen to know that the billboard material on ours happens to be from an old "SNIGRAB" billboard which was a huge event in days gone by around Denver CO. So glad some people are thinking of ways to use this stuff!;
