Thule 712200 Squarebar 118 - 47" Pair, Black

In der Beschreibung wird leider nirgendwo erwähnt dass es sich um ein Paar von ZWEI Schienen handelt. Das hat bei mir leider zu einer unnötigen Rücksendung geführt.;

Updating to 4 starts because honestly I love Amazon. Even when they are the pricier choice I head their way for reasons like this.
The End caps were missing. With the holidays and everything definitely happens and Amazon made it right so I kept them.

I bought this used. Yes the box is obviously used but that is to be expected and it shouldn't be dinged for that. But the ends are missing all 4 so sending this back.;

Ordered for new car as my existing 2 sets of bars were too long and too short respectively typical! Bars arrived next day as expected and on opening the box were found to be bent. Arranged return collection and replacement and next day the replacement set arrived and were also bent. Managed to straighten them to a reasonable amount due to leaving for holiday the following day so no time to swap again. Given these bars are steel not aluminium they must have been put under extreme forces while palletted. I wonder how many others have been affected by similar issues. Generally happy with Thule and have been using them since 2007 for roof bars and bicycle carriers etc and have always been happy. This time let down by poor warehouse handling at Thule or Amazon.;

These bars (unfortunately) had to replace my old completely functioning bars when I bought a new car. Stinks cause I can’t sell the old ones now…

But aside from that installation was just as wonky as the first ones. The diagrams get you 98% there the other 2% is fine tuning adjustments to get it set “right”.

I see other comments about wind noise - but I have a cheap solution to that which I used on the old style bars as well: BUNGEE CORDS! I used to have a loud droning even at 25 mph - so I found a solution QUICK. Remember if you need these rails and towers your car was designed to not have anything on top of it. So by adding this you’re adding wind resistance and therein wind noise or “whistling”. Solution; go buy a cheap set of long bungee cords wrap one around your bar 4-5 times hook on the ends and space out the coils. Job done. Wind noise reduced to pretty much nothing.

There’s literally nothing Thule can do about the noise on their end. Creating a braided bar of some sort will not work with whatever racks you’re trying to put on top. Bungee Cords can be moved as needed!;
