Greenfield Alloy Kickstand KS-3 Center 305mm Black

After installing this thing I now see why many kickstands have an adjustable plastic foot. I didn't want plastic so I got this solid metal kickstand but the trade-off is that you have to cut it to the size of your bike. There doesn't seem to be any good instructions or resources for how to measure a kickstand for a bike so I ended up just cutting off around 10 mm and checking it (it only took two cuts). I used a hacksaw to cut it and the angle wasn't quite right so I had to file it down as well. It was a bit disappointing that I had to buy a specific hex tool / Allen wrench too because it requires 8 mm if they could've made it 7 mm it would accommodate more common tool sets.;

The Greenfield kickstand is a standard accessory sold for bicycles and many bicycles are manufactured with a welded bracket that fits the kickstand perfectly. If your bicycle doesn’t have the bracket Greenfield makes a kickstand that clamps onto the chain stays near the bottom bracket. It’s a good idea to obtain the longest kickstand available and then shorten it as needed. It’s made of an aluminum like material and is easy to cut with a hacksaw or similar.

In use this Greenfield kickstand works flawlessly. It snaps down into parked position and snaps up into riding position. Occasional tightening of the mounting hardware and a spritz of lubricant is all the maintenance one might perform.

Zero issues. Just took off the broken kick stand from my Xooter Swift then put this one on.;

Searched forever to find a kickstand that was a single piece instead of a screw down adjustable. This is light and sturdy. I ordered the small but I must have cut off about four inches for my kid’s 20” Specialized RipRock so I wonder if I got the big one. Took about 5 minutes to cut it to length with a dremel and then another couple of minutes to grind the edges so that there were no sharp edges. It is marked on the inside as to length. I cut it to 210mm for the kid’s 20 inch bike and it’s perfect. No need for a rubber foot to lose as it’s thick enough for total stability except for mud. Clearly solid aluminum to be this thick while still light.;

Exact replacement for my wife's broken kickstand. I ordered the 305mm version and cut it down to size. Had to use the top bracket from the broken one. Quick and easy fix.;
