I bike commute 125 miles per week and couldn't decide between the Air Horn or Electric bike horn..search "Juiced bike horn" to see what I am referencing.

Air Horn: Clunky and space consuming mount/trigger. I needed to firmly secure it with a zip-tie and it still seemed very flimsy. You cannot hit the thumb trigger quickly enough in an emergency. Its more of a long press.The sound was loud enough but not something that a car driver would respond to/recognize. The horn would be good for a laid back beach town where some pedestrians or other cruiser bike riders needed a beep. Its not suitable for urban environments.

Electric Horn: This thing is LOUD. Like don't press it inside if you like your hearing loud. Which brings me to my first point. The mount is a rubber belt/hook system with a small covered button. No on/off and very basic. Its easy to press by accident but AlSO very easy to hit quickly in a dangerous situation. The battery life is excellent I tend to recharge it before it runs low. I cover the actual horn with a baggie and rubber band when it rains . Despite same drawbacks I absolutely love the electric horn. Its nearly 100% effective at stopping moronic drivers in their tire tracks. Seriously I have gotten into hoking matches with garbage trucks. I swear this horn has saved my life at least 5x in the past few months. Not sure how I managed without it/how its not standard on every single bike. I highly highly suggest this horn for every single person who rides a bike from kids to adults.;

If you tap the button real quick it’s not too bad if you lay on it people with their windows rolled up will definitely hear you. We were walking our bikes across an intersection and guy in a car was not paying attention and tried to make a left turn into us. I laid on the horn and he came to a stop real quick. I have purchased two so far and they are great.;

It's loud enough to get attention of some car drivers and pedestrians with head phones plugging their ears. You have to pump it almost every time before going on a ride but it's usually more than enough for one ride. It depends of course on how much you use it. Really good loud sound. Recommend.;
