Lots of foot huggin lovin and a natural connection to your bike.. thats what you get from VP's all new, dual concave platform design. VP-Aim was developed with input from both top free riders and local soul riders to deliver the right feeling of control and security at the right price. It's still thin, it's still stylish, and it can take all the beating that you can give it and keep rolling on.

I bought a used set of these pedals but I wanted to leaved a review for those who are considering them.

If you're a weekend warrior or a casual trail rider on a budget these pedals are perfect. Jack-of-all-trades master of none which is just what I was looking for. My bike will likely never touch pavement but I'm still just a casual trail rider. So I was looking for a reliable pleasant upgrade from the cheap plastic pedals that come on many entry-level mountain bikes.

There are plenty of comparably priced good quality composite/plastic pedals from several manufacturers available but I'm not sure if you'll find a better quality aluminum body pedal from a reputable manufacturer for the price.

Not the biggest platforms but plenty big for most foot sizes. Not super light but sturdy while not being excessively heavy. They are not the grippiest but you can move your feet around if you need to and still get plenty of grip.

These pedals are well-built and serviceable so they should last a long time depending on your type of riding. You can replace the traction pins and there are rebuild kits available for the bearings and seals.

If you want good quality aluminum MTB pedals for less than $50 I doubt you can do much better.;

Fantastic pedals so far! I can only speak to my initial impressions not having the opportunity to ride on them very much but what riding I have done on them has lived up to the hopes and expectations I had for them. I've installed these on a touring bike build and so far they've been very comfortable very grippy and great and transferring power and so far I've only ridden on them in my sandals which they are working great with. I'll be trying some shoes with them soon. If you are looking for some large comfortable and grippy pedals then these may be exactly what you're looking for.;

Excellent quality pedal that provides good foot coverage grip durability and comfort. The finish scratches easily because it's probably painted. A hard anodized colored coating would be more durable but may also increase the cost. Overall I'm very satisfied with this product.;
