          I have mixed feelings about this SARIS trainer. I had the older CycleOps trainer. SARIS is lighter than the older, which is a positive thing, however, when I stand up to pedal it shakes and feels less sturdy. The CycleOps was made from heavier steel which may explain the difference. This model is much quieter with a slight "whirring" sound that you'd expect from a magnetic.
          There is an annoying vibration that kicks in when pedaling >50 rpm or so. It's like driving over rumble strips. I've tried adjusting the tension w/o any effect so far. I'll keep trying different things to get rid of this annoyance.
          And finally, speaking of tension, save your money and use your gears to increase/decrease resistance. My trainer bike (a 40-year-old Bianchi) had issues shifting so I thought I'd get the magnetic model with adjustable tension. I figured in the long run the adjustable tension would be worth the added cost. I was wrong. After adjusting and re-adjusting the tension many MANY times I decided to get my old bike tuned at the local bike shop and have ditched the tension that came with the trainer.
          All in all it's a decent product but it's not the old CycleOps.;

          The Saris was easy to assemble and connect to my wife's bicycle. The special adaptors fit perfectly, and the bike is very stable in the mount. The bike doesn't need any drilling or permanent modifications which will change the bike; the adaptors can be removed without doing any damage. The magnetic pedaling force works well, and it is easy to change the force by using a lever attached on the handlebars. In the Spring, it will be easy to disconnect the Saris from the bike so my wife can ride her bike outside.;

          I've used the Saris CycleOps on both a road and fitness bike for several months and find it to work pretty well. Initial setup isn't difficult, even when replacing the "skewer" (quick release rod) on my Specialized Rubeaux with the one that was included from Saris it just takes a few minutes to get the bike mounted and be off on your first ride. It's a bit challenging on the fitness bike as it has a solid rear axle that I had to order an adapter for (which took a couple weeks to receive and cost $50). All in all it's helped me keep cycling during the winter, but nothing beats an outdoor ride :-);

          Amazing product...with a basic mountain bike setup, the noise was too much for me.so I purchased a $50 continental home trainer tire and new tube, installed it myself very easily, and oh my lord it’s so quite. I love it so much, I’m happy I paid a bit more for a quality trainer. Strongly recommend;
