The long, stiff bristles of the GSC-3 are narrow enough to reach between the gears of tightly-spaced modern cassettes, while the slim contoured end is capable of picking grit and grime out of tight spaces such as derailleur pulley wheels.

I cleaned the sand off my rear cassette sprockets with this brush. Worked well for that. I also cleaned sand particles from rear derailleur too. These are hard areas to clean this brush will be one of my main tools for keeping them clean. (Not perfect but works well. I hold brush behind rear sprockets in line with them vertically and turn crank SLOWLY.)
