I wanted a pedal that was lightweight and wouldn’t destroy my shoes and shins. I have always had great success with RaceFace’s platform pedals on my MTB so have these a shot on my urban cruiser. They are perfect. Enough traction for street shoes but no sharp points to cause bleeding if you slam against your shin.;

I really like the pedals not tearing up my shin’s. The plastic tabs grip well and feel much better on the skin. They don’t grip the same as metal tabs but do the job well enough. If your competitive or very aggressive rider these my not do the job. I’m a moderate mountain biker with some advance trails. I would recommend these pedals.;

I use these on my commuter bike. They have a nice wide platform for great support with street shoes. The plastic pins are nice because they don't tear up your shoes (or shins), though I imagine they're a bit more slippery than metal pins so they may not be quite as good for mountain biking. And due to the sealed bearings, they're a step up from other cheap plastic bodied pedals, so hopefully I don't have to replace them every year or two like I have been.;
