So comfortable that youÔøΩll forget you are wearing them. They will not protect you as well as some of the other hard shell bulkier types but I found myself not putting those pads on because they were too bulky. So definitely better than not wearing pads. Slim enough to fit under pants even. I have gone down and planted my knee wearing these - no tears or damage to my knee. I wear these mainly for dirt jumping and some occasional mountain biking. Big pads were too bulky and I found myself adjusting them constantly between runs. I never adjust these after I put them on. If you are just getting into dirt jumping or extreme sports these may not be for you. Otherwise these are great.
