I was very surprised at how good this shoe was after only hearing bad things about Five Ten after adidas acquired them. This shoe is a solid performer at a cheaper price than a lot of the competition. I won't say it's my favorite shoe but it definitely isn't a slouch.

Sizing:
I did buy these half a size down from my US size but it was true to size on my EU sizing. I would definitely try these on in person as they are very hard too get on though it gets easier too put on. There isn't really much stretching going on as synthetic materials are used and the break in time was definitely painful. The heel also locks your foot in place really well but some people might not like how it feels.

This shoe does everything pretty well honestly due too its semi-hard rubber. I feel like it did need some break in time as when I first got them I was slipping of slopers really bad. I own 4 pairs of climbing shoes and this is probably my best heel hooking shoe due too the rubber and heel fit. It also performs great on toe hooks but it's not my best toe hooking shoe. Honestly any gripes I have are basically nitpicking as certain shoes should not be used for some climbs.

Pros:
1. Cheaper than other high end shoes
2. Great toe hooking.
3. Really good heel hooking
4. Versatile. Can be used for edging, smearing, and overhangs.
5. Comfortable when you do manage too put it on but not an all day shoe

Cons:
1. Really hard too get on even if you choose the right size.
2. Heel might not work for some people but if it works it's great.

I would definitely recommend this to anyone needing too upgrade or a 2nd pair while your shoes are getting resoled. It's a great shoe too have in your bag for certain climbs.;

They climb really well and look super slick. I do have a lot of confidence with them on most climbs. I bought half a size down from street shoe and they were *almost* too painful to break in. But I stuck with it and now they fit pretty well except that I learned my right foot is bigger than my left so it gets sore before the left does.

My biggest gripe is that the heal box didn't conform to my heal as I had hoped it would. I don't know if it is just the shape of my foot that is weird, but I have had a hard time finding climbing shoes that don't have a bunch of extra room in the heal box. Not a deal breaker as it is only every once in awhile that I need a really good tight heal, but definitely something I will be looking for much more closely in my next pair of shoes.;

Love these shoes, very similar in feel and performance to Scarpa Instincts, but with a grippier rubber. Definitely worth a try if you enjoy the Instinct;

Right now i wear dragos, solutions, and hiangles. The 5.10s r a great all around shoe. Its not the best at anything but its competent everywhere. For me they have the perfect balance of soft/stiff-ness and the fit is really good. Also solid with toe and heel hooks. I wear them indoors and outdoors and id def reccomend them for anything looking for a shoe thats good on every terrain.;

Awesome shoe with a semi firm rubber. In between the mad rock sharks and the la sportiva solution ( I own all of them). Really hard to get these shoes on!!!! But they're overall good with a sharp edge.;
