          Maxxis minion DHF is your default to go tire for trail and enduro.

          This is the 2.4 which means that it is thicker than your XC tire but still thin enough to help you with a reduced surface area.

          The design gives super good traction even in muddy rainy conditions. I have used these for years.

          The 3c Maxx Terra compound will provide more grip than its 2 compound counterparts and if you are doing trails more than asphalt it shouldn't wear off any faster than any other tire. Asphalt does seem to reduce the longevity of the MaxxTerra a bit.

          If you are more into lifts + downhill trails you might want to look for the 2.5 or higher that will give you more contact area.;

          This is a great upgrade to the stock tires on my Trek Marlin 5. I installed the 2.5 on the front and a 2.3 in the rear and that's about the limit for this bike. Install is super easy and took about 5 minutes to take the old tire off and put the new one on with 3 tire spoons.
