I mounted this on a unicycle after wiping out pretty hard on some ice I didn’t see. It’s amazing! I’ve ridden it on ice fresh snow compacted snow and bare pavement (wet and dry). As you might imagine traction is even more important when you have just one wheel.
After finishing the recommended 40km “run-in” period to set the studs there’s no problems to report with the studs. They’re all still there and intact even after riding on sidewalks part of the time.
It has its limits but the only difficulties I’ve had were from snow that was just too deep or too bumpy from being melted walked upon and refrozen. Traction has not been a problem at all. My main concern was unseen patches of ice and I rode this tire right across the slickest stuff I could find with no slippage.
The one curious quirk this tire has is that when you lean into a turn it tends to want to tighten the turn. Again this is on a unicycle it may not do that on a bike. It isn’t enough to make me bail but it is definitely noticeable. The benefit of this characteristic is that when riding on the shoulder of crowned roads it tends to keep you straight whereas with my knobby tire it wants to pull off downhill.
Overall I’m very happy with it because it lets me keep riding in the chilly months!;

I just ordered another to replace 1 of 2 I bought/installed 2 years ago (4 rows of studs). Less than 200 mi on it. While they do work well in snow/ice this is an unacceptable lifespan. My advice don't inflate above 75#. I inflated mine to 80# after "pre-cooling" the bike to 30 degrees. Rode to work on 75% clear roads (16 mi) parked it in building (74 degrees) for a couple hours road home. Put bike in garage (45 deg) overnight rode again next day similar distance no air added no problems. Next day tires were still fine. But the next day rear tire was flat. Turns out sidewall blew out; rubber had pulled away from the wire bead. Tube w/ expected huge hole. Front tire still fine but I let a few pounds out just in case. Brakes weren't rubbing on sidewall hadn't hit anything. Experienced rider 20 years 5000+ mi per year pretty sure I didn't damage tire on install. So either a manufacturer defect or else the tire pressure increase in the non-heated garage (which never went above 50 deg) caused the blowout. I've heard that for car tires every 10 deg rise in temp increases tire pressure by 1 psi. Maybe it's different for smaller bike tires but I can't explain this. So my upper limit on these tires is now 75psi.;
