Great product but had to return due to the vertical clearance not being sufficient.

I recently switched from 650c x 28c tires/wheels to 26" x 37c tires/wheels. ISO diameter shrunk (571mm->559mm) so the short reach calipers on the bike no longer reached the brake surface.

I gave the R539 a try and unfortunately it didn't give me enough vertical clearance. I had to return these and go with the Shimano R451 calipers instead which provided enough vertical clearance (Black Mountain Cycles has a good blog that covers this exact issue - google for "Tektro R539 clearance").

I still highly recommend this product for any bike that has sufficient clearance - the polished finish looks great on classic steel frames :);
