Grips were okay. Not overly cushy but not uncomfortable on shorter rides. All it took though was a 16 mile ride where my hands got so sore I couldn't hardly bend my fingers to decide these weren't the grips for me. However my biggest gripe is that the awesome orange color (the whole reason I got these grips!) faded super fast - like within a couple rides - and they really show the dirt too.;
