Having owned used this product before it was a no brainer for me. towrads the end of product life there is an issue with compound degredation but I like the aesthetics of a clear grip against my battleship grey frame.;

These seem like nice grips. Lizard Skin reputation is good. They offer good tactile grip. There has been no twisting or slipping (so far). If you have small hands these may be a great option for you. The 494's offer very little padding or cushion. If you ride hard or go for moderate to extended rides you might want to wear gloves to help with padding. If you want a beefier good quality grip for a similarly low price I recommend Lizard Skins' non-locking N-Shore (Northshore) SC bike grips.;
