If you read my initial review I apologize but I needed to re-write it after having the rack for a while AND after seeing the new Surly Rear Disc Rack. I also removed a star.

As I said initially this rack is a work of art and is solid. It has 14mm tubing which will mean you will have to remove the spacers on your Ortlieb hooks and if you don't have Ortlieb bags then hope your hooks will fit.

Even though Tubus states this rack is designed for fat bikes that really is not the case if you have seat stay mounted eyelets which I have learned the majority of fat bikes do. The rack will sit too high and will barely clear the seatpost. And by being high it places the panniers to far forward. Surly's new rack is designed around seat stay mounted eyelets and is height adjustable. I am not sure it was available when I got the Tubus but had it been and had I known I would have sprung for the Surly. I will probably end up selling the Tubus and getting the Surly at some point.;
