Delta BH130N Fork Mount Black

Had two fork clamps for 5+ years on a treated 2x4 for my truck bed. Now with kids added two more and turned all on angle for the handle bar clearance.

60" 2x4 Treated
(8) 1/4-20 x 2.5" Carriage Bolts
(8) 1/4" flat washers
(8) 1/4" split lock washers
(16) 1/4-20 Nuts (double up to lock if wood dries out)
Optional: Eye Screws to hold locks when not needed.

Mount every 12" on center.

Use a ratchet strap across bikes to keep them from moving around.;

I decided to keep this even though it is NOT as well made as the original Delta cross bar I purchased about 15 years ago. It is slightly bigger at the loop ends and the diameter of the sliding is also slightly thicker but with thinner material. The finish of the rubberized hooks are not as refined with irregularly applied rubber. The locking mechanism is also not as solid and protrudes a bit more but the device still does the job. The lesser quality is obvious when you feel and see it while mounted on the Step Through E Bikes while on the hitch racks. The lower price compared to other bars and the original Delta bar is probably why I rate this as acceptable.Hopefully it lasts as long as the original.;

The wheel hitch was super easy to install. Even has holes in the fork to use a lock to keep the wheel safe.;
