A buddy gave me this and I thought it was just a throwaway part. Turns out it is pretty nice. I just taped a long piece of red duct tape to it so I wouldn't lose it. Seriously it is the size of your thumbnail. It let me add sealant to my tires through the valve core though which I had never done before and was super easy and efficient.

Two thumbs up on this. Just don't lose it and don't think too hard about it being a $0.50 piece of plastic. ha ha;

Anyone who has been stuck somewhere because they couldn't get a removable valve core tight enough to allow the tube to be inflated will understand just how much of a lifesaver this tool is.

Sure you could remember to take every tube you buy out of the package at home and tighten the valve core with a wrench or pliers but realistically you are going to be out somewhere with a flat tire and a loose valve core. This tool is tiny enough to be stashed inside anything else you take along (such as a patch kit) without causing you any inconvenience. And of course it works perfectly because seriously this is not rocket science.;

It is a great little itty bitty tool. Hardly takes up room. Be careful of losing it because of size. It is also well made.;
