Montiert auf einem Mtb. Was bedeutet das es Spritzer nicht ganz abhalten kann. Vielleicht eher wenn man Straßenreifen fährt werden auch weniger Spritzer.

My wife has a new Trek Marlin 5 mountain bike with 27.5" wheels. She has no desire to do rough mountain bike riding - it is more for relatively gentle off road trails. And she has no desire to return home splattered and caked in mud. My local bike shop put on a Muckynutz front mud guard and a SKS X3 Xtra-dry on the back explaining that most mountain bike riders don't mind a little spray and the play in the front shocks doesn't allow for a fixed fender. But the "usual solution" left my wife unwilling to ride on muddy trails and that limited her riding especially in the spring and fall. Well this SKS Veloflex has a brilliant design allowing maximum flexibility in mounting it on a mountain bike. And it works as a full fender set keeping 99% of the spray off her. It is easy to remove or put back on to change a tire. The "directions" could be better but the design is so simple it is easy to figure out. Just a brilliant design.

Eigentlich wollte ich 5 Sterne vergeben. Der erste Eindruck war über allen Zweifel erhaben. Das Produkt machte einen hochwertigen Eindruck sowohl von der Optik als auch von der Haptik.Alles ist sehr sauber gefertigt und die Materialien sind hochwertig kein billiger China-Schrott. Natürlich könnte man noch Gewicht sparen mit anderen Materialien doch dann würde der Preis wohl in astronomische Höhen steigen.
Nun zur Sache an sich. Das mitgelieferte Zubehör ist einmalig. Alles passt wie es soll ob Klettbänder oder Gummiriemen. Die Montage des vorderen Schutzes an einer FOX Federgabel war problemlos und ruckzuck passiert. Das Problem begann beim Schutz für das Hinterrad. Dazu muss ich anmerken dass ich 2.35er Reifen fahre. Das dürfte aber keine Seltenheit sein. Mein Rad ist ein Trek Superfly9. Die Schelle die fest am Blech ist ist zu lang und vom Durchmesser zu klein. Dadurch steht der Schutz zu weit vom Sitzrohr ab und streift am Reifen. Als Abhilfe habe ich die Schelle mit einem Seitenschneider weggezwickt 2 entsprechende Löcher gebohrt und das Schutzblech direkt am Sitzrohr mittels einem Kabelbinder befestigt. Hält prima.
Im Fahrbetrieb klappert auch im rauesten Gelände nichts und nach der Tour ist nichts verstellt verdreht oder verbogen. Der Schutz vor Dreck ist in Ordnung. Lediglich im Bereich des Umwerfers und Tretlagers kommt noch Dreck hin. Dafür ist es aber ja auch nur ein vorübergehender Schutz. Ein wenig muß man nach einer Schlammschlacht ja auch sehen.
Fazit: Je nach Geometrie und Bereifung muß dieses Problem nicht unbedingt auftreten. Sonst ein Top Produkt zum absolut fairen Preis.;
