I added this hook to add a third bike to my stand and it was simple. It is designed so you do not have to disassemble the post to attach it which was nice.;

I have four units (poles) and hang 8 bikes. 7 hangers work great. One de-threaded as in other reviews. Very easy and intuitive to move about and secure floor to ceiling. Works for all the family bikes: road full-suspension & hardtail Mtn bikes fat-bike hybrids & old-fashioned road bikes from 1980s. The weight of the bike is not what caused hanger rear screw failure. Maybe I need to be more careful first time I thread and tighten the rear screw. I’ll contact vendor than company to see if I can get free replacement and not pay $50. I would still recommend this product though.;

Bought the lower hook used - the price was a lot better than the new price! This hook is great! I have the Dual Touch standand I misplaced the lower hook over the course of several moves. Now I use the stand to get the bikes off of the basement floor. At the used price this is a great value.;

The Topeak hooks work just fine. You tighten until they stop. Some people just feel the need to crank on things to be "safe" I have 4 of these and none have stripped with proper use.;
