TYR Sandblast Boyshort - Women's, Gray, Size 12

The fabric is good quality sturdy and seems like it will retain its shape. The color is less "plum" and more of a true purple than pictured.

It's a quite short boyshort more like underwear-sized than sport shorts. I'm using it for swimwear so it works fine for me.;

As a swimmer and professional lifeguard I wear a lot of swim wear. I picked these because they are different than anything I have in my swim wear wardrobe. They looked more functional than fashion suits but gave two-piece options to my athletic suits.

These fit well and are great in the water. I have swum laps in these as well as played in the pool with my friends. They have been fantastic across the board.;

My husband loves TYR brand swim gear so I am familiar with the brandÔøΩs quality and I was happy to see these bottoms available in my daughterÔøΩs size. She usually wears a 7/9 juniors or a 6/8 in womenÔøΩs so I sized up to a 10 just in case and I am so glad that I did. The fit is very flattering and even if they do stretch after a few wears (as most of my husbandÔøΩs gear did) they should still fit well. She is happy because they are comfortable and I am happy because they seem well-made and durable. To wash we put these shorts in the washing machine on delicate in a lingerie bag and then hung to dry ÔøΩ no issues at all yet.

My daughter is at the line between girls and women's sizes. Sometimes she can wear the XS/4 in women's and sometimes they are slightly too big. This one is one that was just slightly too big. That said the color is great the material is really nice everything about this screams well made and it will work great for her paddle boarding or water skiing she will just have to wait a year until she can wear it.

I wouldn't say that the size is that far off that it's not as expected. I think it's more that the sizing is more a factor of trying to sort out which pieces of clothing women's sizes work.

She was a bit bummed that it didn't fit as she really liked it. Based on that if you can get your size this is a high quality TYR suit that will last.;
