The Monarch's lightweight design not only delivers silky smooth travel, but thanks to a redesigned Solo Air spring with updated damping controls, it also delivers a spring rate you'd generally only get from a much heavier coil shock. So you get a durable, fully adjustable shock capable of smoothing out the most aggressive trails, while simultaneously saving you weight for epic cross country riding. The Monarch R feature external rebound adjustment.
  • Fast Black hard anodized, forged aluminum body with sag gradients
  • R shocks feature external rebound adjustment, Solo Air lets you add air to your shock through a single Schrader valve, filling both the positive and negative air spring chambers simultaneously. This gives you a plush, predictable ride you can set up in seconds, with the lightest weight air spring on the market
  • 9mm 7075 aluminum shaft
  • Rapid Recovery allows the shock to recovery faster between consecutive bumps, letting the wheel track the ground with greater precision
  • Mount hardware sold separately (2 sets required per shock)
  • Intended Use: XC, Trail

After 12 years my old RockShox Monarch R gave up the ghost. Bought this one to replace it. An excellent shock this unit was an almost perfect replacement for the original. Things had changed a little in the last 12 years. The new shock didn't quite fit so we had to remove the inserted bush from the lower fitting or the original shock 'shaft' and caps wouldn't fit. Once we'd removed the bushing it fitted just fine and pumped up nicely to restore my armchair ride. The new shock came with a kit of spare seals and lube too which was good value especially given the overall cost of the new shock. No-one ever told me they need a service after 50 hours so the original shock lasting over 11 years was great value. Be sure to service your shock to avoid any shocks ;-D;

Ich habe wo anders bestellt.;

It works as it should and the ride feels much better than my old coil spring shock.;

This shock works great for my needs but I had to change the compression shim stack for my riding style and weight. I ride on the aggressive side and only weigh 153 lbs and the shim stack was too stiff. If you are comfortable pulling shocks apart it is an easy process. It took me about an hour one afternoon. If you need to pay someone you may be better off going through your local bike shop or buying it online with the tune you need. Once tuned the shock kicks butt.;
