To achieve the chain alignment I wanted required some shims I fabricated from thin aluminum. Taht commented should not be considered negative. Rather it is fact-of-life when when modifying any product. Aside from lowering the gear ration my goal I found the wolf ran smother without clunky noise.;

Great single speed gear worked really well but because it’s aluminum you have to watch out with steel chains if you ride like hell a steel chain can rip teeth off of the gear;
